Mark Rusconi Architects is one of Sacramento’s most respected and innovative architecture and planning firms, serving clients in Northern California since 1987.

Recent projects include housing remodels in East Sacramento, San Francisco and Yuba City, medical offices in Sacramento, Dixon, and Woodland, historic preservation and a new structure at a Placerville winery, a residential building renovation in Northern Italy, and new high end houses in Sacramento City and County showcase our firm’s ability to create diverse, sensitive and unique designs for our clients.

We believe that we are the only Sacramento architectural firm whose principal studied and worked extensively in both Italy and San Francisco, honing his skills on a wide range of projects, from historic renovation to the latest sustainable design guidelines; skills that have since been put to good use on a variety of projects in the private sector, as well as for The Sacramento Redevelopment Agency, The Old City Association and in Old Sacramento.

Our excellent reputation stands as a testament to all the satisfied clients who share our love of good quality architecture, be it a miniscule project or something much grander, residential or commercial, historic renovation or new-build, kitchen remodel or adding an entire second storey, even a new pergola or swimming pool! Our Design Process What sets us apart form the others is that we still design “the old fashioned way”, utilizing pencils and paper, constantly refining our work by hand. We strongly believe that this is still the best way to achieve a client’s “dream” project, and enables us to include them in the entire design phase. As a result, it ensures a mutual rapport from the outset, working together towards a successful outcome, which is at the heart of every project. It is only after this phase that we turn to the computer to produce working drawings, using a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) program like other firms. This method is standard in the industry now, is highly accurate and facilitates electronic transmission of all drawings and documents. We have discovered that by combining both the old and the new ways, our clients receive the best, most comprehensive and efficient service possible.
